It shows the "Dale" entering San Diego harbor in September of 1945.  After numerous Atlantic crossings to England, Italy, and North Africa, she was assigned to the Pacific to take bearings on the Japanese shore artillery installation's for operation Olympic. As she entered Pearl Harbor, they received word the war was over. DE337 was then sent back to the states, hence this picture. She is seen here, still panted in her  Atlantic Blue Gray camo pattern.</div> <div> If you are a former member of the DE337 crew,  have info,  pictures of the "Dale"or would like more info/share stories about the USS Dale W.
