17 Oct. 2005. Back in Action!! Well sort of. Feeling much better after the forth surgery (hopefully the last) and have posted my new address in the contact me section. I will start posting the stack of memories I have received since my slight health problem put me in dry dock. Thanks so much for you understanding!!
20 June. Finally made it to our new berth!!!! Have posted Pete Funks 2002 reunion Pictures.
25 May. We will be moving to our new web page WWW.DE679.Com soon. I have ran into all sorts of trouble with getting it right. Plus I have been dealing with some health issues that has knocked me on my backside!! After we move to this new site I will keep the old Tripod site up as and archive.

7 Sept. Added several new pictures of the USS Greenwood, some in drydock to the SHIP 1 section. Thanks to Mr. Henry Beazley. TM3c.

26 July. Added Destroyer Division 601 crest to History of USS Greenwood. This is the logo painted on the Stack of all the Destroyers in 601. Submitted by Scott Abney, in memory of his Dad James H. Abney Staff Signalman DESDIV 601. 1962-65.
09 July. Added a whole new section to the web page. OTHER DE's, accessed from the HOME page. I have been getting many requests for info about other ships. To help preserve the history of the DE, if you send me your pictures/memories. I will make a section for your ship, as long as my web space holds out. I have also, thumbnail the large pictures of the ship for faster loading. This came be reached in SHIP 1, from the Photo Gallery.

18 April. Updated crew list. I am now in the process of revamping this web site. Adding thumbnails to help the pages load faster, inserting stories and explanations about the pictures. During this time, expect lots of bugs,(FUBAR) and something's might not work as planned. So please bear with me during construction.
14 April. Added a new page under LT. Greenwood/ USS Erie PG-50. This page will detail more of LT Frank Greenwood and the sinking of the USS Erie. Special Thanks goes out to Mr. Jon Balson who submitted the after action reports.

26 Nov. Mr. Jon Balson has sent a picture of LT. Frank Greenwood!!!!!! This is our first look at the man who named our ship!!!!!! I have made a new page just for this exciting occasion !! Also, Updated our Crew list. More info to come from Mr. Balson on the PG50.
